Ateneo announced two hours ago that final exams are now optional.
Here’s an excerpt from the memo:
1. Unless otherwise announced by CHED, Malacañang, or the Quezon City government, classes will continue until 21 October 2009, but there will be no final exams.
a.The basis of the final grade will be the current class standing of the student.
b.If a student wishes to raise his/her grade, s/he will have the option of taking the final exam or fulfilling an equivalent requirement. The deadline for completing INC or NE may be extended.
2.Classes can be used to deal with the aftermath of Ondoy, e.g., apply knowledge, skill sets, and values to understanding and managing disaster, rebuilding and rehabilitation of communities, or organizing and implementing support systems.
So I can choose not to take my final exams. I’m just not sure if my current standing is okay.

I hope I’m already an A. But there’s no final exam, we only have a final project which comes with a defense. I like the project, but not when it’s required. Lol. Or maybe can we just not have the defense? Plz?

Our grade’s based on three exams only: the first LT, the second LT and the final exam. I got a B+ on LT2 while I still don’t know the result of the first one. Maybe I’ll take the finals to raise my grade to an A. :)

I really have no idea. We have no final exam. The final defense is supposed to be on Monday, but it’s moved to October 15 and no longer departmental. No more panelist, just prof + classmates. I don’t like it. Oh and mock defense next week.

I still haven’t reported. We still have a video project. One more quiz to take. I wonder if I’ll take the final exam, I’m not sure how I’m running in this class. Oh and I haven’t started on any bonus paper.

I failed one long test here. Missed some quizzes too. I think I need to take the finals (oral + written) to bring up my grade. I still have bonus papers to complete. :o

I think the final exam is the final group paper. I think I’ll need that to pull up my grade. All I know is I’m a B/C+ in the first long test, and I haven’t been reciting. I still need to pass the homework and the take home long test.
Everything’s changed because of Ondoy, and I don’t know what to decide.
Today, I was walking around my friend's neighborhood, where I spotted two girls trying to flirt with a boy who looked a lot like Robert Pattinson by quoting Twilight. I interrupted them by tackling the boy from behind, screaming, "Cedric!". He turned around to see me and my Asian features, and hugged me back, screaming, "Cho!" I got his number. MLIA
